Amor con fortuna

This is only a work-in-progress, but I haven't uploaded anything since Valentines Day (even though I said I'd be drawing a lot more). Well, I have been drawing more. I was working on this piece like crazy ever since I uploaded the sketch to my scraps... but then I got bored with it. I fiddled around with some other stuff, got frustrated, and then went back to this... and I'm glad I did

This is a cross-hatched sketch that nearly drove me insane. It's the result of many sleepless nights. Seriously. I'm so sleep-deprived right now... I need sleep T____T

Anyway, there's a story behind this, but I figure I'll save it for the colored version. Once that's posted, I'll move this to my scraps.
