And here's the third plate featuring Fallyn! This is part of a series of manga-styled Galerie des Modes fashion plates that I'm doing. They also feature my original characters from Flock of Raven and I plan to do three for each character (so I can get some practice with my manga style). This is how Fallyn normally wears her hair (I can never decide on a single style).

Plate III. By the time I got to this one, I think I was too tired to draw patterns. Then again, the caraco design tends to be simple... at least compared to some of the other stuff. Besides, I got sick of drawing stripes on everything-- it was hurting my eyes ;__; This is also the "revised" version of the outfit from my oldest drawing of Fallyn. I've come a long way since then^^

Background was made from textures that I made with graphics from Print Master Gold 8.0. Comment and critique are welcome^^

She really does look like a revolutionary, doesn't she? It's the bold, simple design of her clothes, and the almost tricolor look to the bow on her hat. (I really like how you do the shading on the folds of the fabric there.) And there's something about her expression... She doesn't happen to own a pair of guillotine earrings, does she? ;P

I'm not so sure it's Revolutionary - possibly dress "en amazone" for the hunt circa 1788 - the eve of Revolution. I say that because the jacket and fichu remind me of one of Wurtmuller's portraits of Marie Antoinette in 1788 - the difference is MA's turban headress vs Fallyn's hat which does look more from the Reovlutionary era. If Wurtmuller had done a full length portrait of the Queen en amazone, her dress may well have looked similar.

I do like to see Fallyn's hair down - love that vest, and the nifty pink ribbon round her hat.
Great drawing!

surely never lighted on this orb a more delightful vision...little did I dream I'd see such disasters fallen upon Her, fairest of all queens, Marie-Antoinette
