What is A Flock of Ravens?



I'm really happy that I can finally upload Nell's profile picture because I haven't finished a picture of this character since 2008... and that's just far too long to go without drawing such an important character. Nell needs more love, so that's why I decided to go out of my way to give her a dress with a fancy pattern― and it was torture to draw! D: Hopefully, I'll be able to finish more pictures of Nell in the future.

Nell grew up in a small town and was the only child of a middle class merchant family. She followed in her mother's footsteps and became a skilled painter, though, unlike her mother, Nell chose to focus on darker imagery and folkloric themes. When her parents died, she moved to the city to continue studying art, and, despite being entirely on her own, she's remained as carefree as she was as a child; Nell's head is always in the clouds and she rarely worries about money, preferring her unpredictable lifestyle. It's only after meeting Rowen that Nell is yanked from her cheerful world. When she discovers the young man on her doorstep, injured and hardly conscious, Nell nurses him back to health and cares for him; she also finds herself falling in love with him, though perhaps for the wrong reasons.
