What is A Flock of Ravens?



I don't draw the AFoR guys that often, so I decided it was time that I did something about it And Baen (front) and Rhys (back) are birds of a feather, so I had to draw these two together.

Both of these characters, but especially Baen, are quite ruthless, cunning, and arrogant... but they lack real class They often take on other people's identities so they can make their way through society, but no matter who they're pretending to be, they're true-blue scoundrels at heart. I wanted them to have an elegant and wealthy appearance... but at the same time, I wanted them to look crooked and sleezey. So, I settled on lots of olivy-greens and muddy blues. Baen almost ended up with a peacock feather in his hat (because peacocks are just awesome), but then I stopped myself since I realized that would just be overdoing it >__>

I also tried something new with perspective and shading. I've been moving steadily towards a more soft-shaded look, and I think I'm almost there I just need to mess around a bit more with hair and facial features. Also, I don't think that I'll be doing black outlines for lighter hair colors anymore; I used colored outlines a la Disney this time, and I think it looks a lot better.
