I was going to wait a bit before uploading this, but I changed my mind

For some reason, the '20s through the '40s are starting to be a major influence for me. I blame the music. I've been listening to far too much swing and blues music lately... as you can probably tell... >3>
But... yay for more retro Lolita fashion? The Rococo and Victorian aesthetics are great and all, but pretty much everything I see on brand Lolita sites is starting to look the same; no one seems interested in pulling from other influences-- like the '20s! The Roaring '20s might not seem the ideal era to pull influences from, but this period lends itself surprisingly well to Lolita fashion. I love the idea of utilizing elaborate beading, chiffon ruffles, and more flamboyant accesories (please excuse the poorly drawn sunflowers ;_; ).
On another note... I don't actually recommend swing dancing while wearing Lolita.

mostly kidding about the coin thing, because that would be creepy. buuut sunflowers are fanfreakingtastic.
and you're right. there does need to be more veriaty and the '20s was such a great decade!
