I'm really, really sorry that I haven't uploaded anything for a month .__.;;; I never expected that to happen. Long story short, ever since I uploaded the first batch of Galerie des Modes pictures, I'd been working on an illustration for Flock of Ravens... but after a month I realized that it wasn't turning out the way I wanted it to. So, I scrapped it. But I still want to try to salvage the floral border 'cause I spent a week just inking it >_>
Anyway, I'm back now and I hopefully won't get stuck again. This time, I decided to keep it simple and just do an illustration of two of the main characters from Flock of Ravens: Nathair and Fallyn. It's about time I got around to designing men's clothing -__- Nathair's outfit turned out pretty well, but I really don't like Fallyn's dress. The skirt part looks weird. And there might be a historical inaccuracy: the clothing is 1790s-based, but Fallyn's hat is definitely 1780s-based. And don't tell me that this looks like Gainsborough's Morning Walk. I already know that it does. That was an accident >_> The point was just to draw Nathair and Fallyn together (even though these two do NOT have a romantic relationship). White roses symbolize silence, so that might give you a clue as to exactly what their relationship is like. Textures from Aethereality^^ And I'm sorry if I can't get back to you guys the way I normally do. I'm busy trying to catch up with a lot of my art projects so I don't waste another month like last time Daily DeviationGiven 2007-11-01White Roses by ~Seitou is breathtakingly beautiful. It's full of intricate details from the clothing, the hair, and even the lovely white roses from which it gains its name. This gorgeous sepia toned deviation also brings a feeling of warmth and nostalgia that makes it definitely worth your time to visit. (Featured by `touchedvenus) |
